U have to get him nurtured, i just recently had my 5 yr old make cat done in feb of this yr. I wish i could have done it earlier in his life.
It's a behavior issue. If he is not neutered, get him neutered. If he is neutered and otherwise healthy, you may want to try a new litter pan, or increase litter pan number in your house. Some cats are very picky about their pans, I had a cat that hated small, boxed in pans with lids. He did much better with low-dust litter and a large corner litter pan, with no lid/cover/door. Cats often urinate to mark territory, or when they are in distress.
