I believe the microchip fee is $25. It's not a tracking device; it allows a lost pet to be located the same way a collar with your name and phone number on it would. A vet or shelter can scan your pet and see your personal information, then they contact you.
Ido not know but I know it would be cheaper that a regular vet call them and find out
