I am trying to get my dual citizenship, but the consulate is booked out for two years. How can I make an appointment?

I have been trying to get my citizenship for more than 5 years now. I have had 2 appts cancelled on me last minute because I didn't have the EXACT paperwork they required (on certified Govt disc rather than hard copy) and now that I do, I cannot get another appt. I've been trying since last year and there is never an opening or a cancellation. The person I was working with no longer works for the consulate, so I am in the same boat. Wish I had a solution :(

My family hired a lawyer in Italy. It just has to go through their judicial system and not the council it. You will have to prove your ancestry through person that has not given up their citizenship in Italy. Either a grandfather or grandmother it can be difficult and expensive. Good luck
