Are the dogs free because I can't afford to pay alot of money for a dog. I'm disabled and I'm on a fixed income.

No the dogs are not free but I think the cost is 80.00 but the fix the dog and give it all of its shots and also they put a chip in the dog with all of your information so if the dog gets out or they pick it up they will scan the dog and know who it belongs to.

Adoption fees for dogs are as follows: Dogs under 6 months: $250; Dogs 6 months – 6 years: $200; Dogs 7 years – 9 years: $100; Dogs 10 years plus: $50. As required by law, a $15 fee for a dog license will be added for dogs going to homes in the District of Columbia. Adopters who reside outside of DC should inquire with their local animal control agency about license and other fees associated with pet ownership.

Dogs can be expensive...even if the initial fee is not. Please don't adopt a dog if you can't afford to care for him and feed him properly.
