I have a 9 lb Maltese that has been coughimg for about 3 weeks now. I have insurance with Banfield, but simce it's gone on so long, I was wondering if I can get a second opinion from your clinic. She's on Hydrocodone, Temaril-P tabs, and Zeniquin.

Its not my clinic I'm just a client of theirs. My dog had a cough too. Turned out she had a bad respiratory infection coupled with low thyroid which made any sickness worse. Sooner you get it properly diagnosed the better. Davis isnt cheap but if i went there first i would have spent half as much as i did getting the run around from other vets. Davis is a teaching hospital. Profit isn't their goal, treating and saving your pet is. You'd have to get a consult with them and schedule early because they were booked 4 to 6 weeks out.

UC Davis is a teaching hospital and the very best veterinary treatment around. They are pricey, but, when it came to the life of my Tuxedo cat named (Nutter) it was well worth it. UC Davis saved my little Nutter's life, it took two visits and we had a diagnosis and a plan of treatment. The UC Davis Dr's Get right to work and are honest hard working people that love animals, no run-around, just honest treatment and results. I was fortunate to secure a consult within a week, it's best to call as soon as possible to secure your appointment.
