The reality of being a rescue that is responsible is having to tell some people that they don't make a good fit for certain animals. If you have kids and want to adopt a dog that has been surrendered because it played too hard with small kids or was afraid of them they will deny you. Unfortunately all of those people take to the internet to air their grievances. Adopted two puppies from homeward bound (Scooby is my profile pic) and they were nothing but professional and honest throughout the process. The places you should run from are the people that do not have an qualification process and will give dogs to people who are not a good fit.
I agree with the previous posts, have adopted a gorgeous and rambunctious dog, now well-behaved, 🐶 and can attest to the very thorough process of adoption that they have.
I adopted from them..a great puppy named George. Some people don't qualify to adopt..but, I found the process easy. They want to make sure the dog is going to the right home..which is understandable.
Yes one of the better adoption places. Most of the bad reviews are from prospects that don't qualify to own a rescue pet. Most rescue animals have been abused. And some potential prospects can guarantee proper care. Go ahead and adopt there if your a animal lover these people can see this Dont be put off about reviews .used your own instincts Good luck and hope you find the animal that your looking for.
