Not true. I adopted a 13 week old puppy..the screen applicants to make sure the dog is the best home possible and is the right fit. If you didn't qualify to adopt, maybe you should ask why instead of trashing a really great rescue
This is not true. We filled out the paperwork and went through our interview, which is where they decide what you can handle and what would work best for you. We were able to adopt a puppy with no problem. These people sit down for hours with potential adopters to make sure the dogs will go to good homes. They don't get enough credit if you ask me.
We adopted two puppies from homeward bound and both times they did a very thorough background check and took the time to know you so that they could find a good fit. Rescue is not like going to a breeder where you show up and there are just puppies everywhere. These are dogs that all need homes because of circumstances that can not be controlled. Rescues don't pick and choose their stock. If you take the time and visit over a couple of weeks you are sure to find a furry friend that is what you are looking for. These foster homes are wonderful and they spend a lot of their own time volunteering so that other people can have animals in their lives. It is a real special person that can keep a dog for a brief time and then give them up to another home. Everyone should be grateful for their willingness to take on that burden.
Not true! Tamara is amazing and does her best to place the animals in the best home!
I bet it was YOUR attitude!!
Not true. We adopted a puppy from them.
Very true. Our encounter went exactly the same - Told our choice was not a good fit because we will be new pet owners together - despite us both having had family pets. Please share where you adopted from Teresa because this place is never going to let us adopt a dog of our choosing. Its very frustrating.
