call first, if no answer then visit the intake office and get an appointment with the intake coordinator, but I will tell you based on experience the intake process can be ABSOLUTELY HORRID for many homeless shelters, transitional housing programs, etc. due to high volume of applicants, lack of funds, poor volunteers, etc. Take note of this. There are 10,000 plus people in your situation that will do anything for a free ride including some attempting to kill people just for things like bread, a night in a shelter, etc. I would suggest if you can get into a really trusted friends place or something of that nature, do it with no hesitation. Being in Orlando homeless or not, people get severely attacked, robbed, and killed for the stupidest and most minor of acts. Being homeless especially increases your chances for these bad things happening to you, because guess where a lot of the crime comes from? anyway I hope this helps you.
