the adult version of people with dozens of foster kids to collect money from the government per foster, while then forcing them to do unpaid labor. this place likes to use the term "volunteer work" however i the option is either to go and do whatever physically intensive labor they contracted and very likely profiting from (dismas profits, inmates are told they are going to do "volunteer work") with as little as 10 minutes notice and physically being woken up for this, or option 2, get written up and sent back to prison for being uncompliant. these halfway houses are all similar, but this one takes the top for sketchy unethical behaviors. in addition to the slave labor requirements, they love to use covid as an excuse to try avoid any accountability for their seemingly strategic delays. the mental anguish from their attitudes and disrespect leads to emotional abuse as they give a date to be able to leave for things like home confinement, a job you are hired for, etc, only for the day to come and go without a word from the staff, eventually a new date is given and again missed, without any explanation given. when requested the common response is that if they don't like it they can go back to prison, and that everything is a privilege that can be taken away, so any response other then 'yes' and any logical valid question posed is responded with a threat to further deprive a person of 'privilege'. in pain terns they have mistaken rights for privileges. they are infringing on rights and threatening to take more. upon check in, you must forefit you phone, including it's passcode, (violation of privacy rights per supreme court ruling) for an unknown amount of time, usually 8-12 hours starting around 8pm. Supposedly this is to check for inappropriate content such as social media apps, prob so people don't show their human rights violations to the world. all nude photos must be deleted including of self. At best it is suspected they attempt to use software to install a background service to try to find reasons to send people back to prison via constant illegal and intrusive supervision undisclosd to the phone's owner and reporting keywords to law enforcement. at worst he staff themselves try to somehow see what content they can use to either commit identity fraud, or other information to later try extort at a later date. or more simply, am attempt to build a psychological profile based on private communicationas, in an attempt to more easily break a person into submission, and or to generate scenarios to provoke an inmate in other to more easily violate them and report them, so the government can pay for another stay in their luxury barracks style suite. 48+ to a room, small single beds or bunks 3-4 feet apart in approx 4 rows of 12 beds per row in one large room with drop ceiling in an industrial park. low cost coversion into substandard living conditions. No visitors are allowed of course, it's no surprise that this place is located in an industrial zone far from city limits that might otherwise ensure respectable treatment and conditions. Such places are unconstitutional requirements by miseducated or corruption of federal courts, persecutors, no defense defense, county jail cooperating to deny federal holdings awaiting trial things like medical attention, social interactions, timely and nutritionally sufficient sustenance, in order to coerce inmates into accepting guilty plea bargains recommended by inadequate defense, often without evidence andby way of false confessions of naive and young inmates usually 18-21yo.

Dismas Charities is not a good place. This place will do what ever they can to stop you from reinstating your self to society and from accomplish anything. I have witness how a resident had numerous interviews with reputable companies and they do not give him the approval. Companies are willing to hire him and they do what ever they can to stop it from happening. They do not answer to job inquiries for the residents , they do not answer to emails. The residents are trying to make a difference in his life and Dismas Charities employees are not helping. Residents are not allow to visit there families because of covid but no one gets tested while they working outside. Your family is not allow to bring you food. The only good thing about this place is that is clean.

Upon my release from Federal Prison in 2015 I resided here for 9 months. One of the BETTER facilities in all respects. APPRECIATE their efforts. Thank you.

Do inmates get home visits

Allison Desanto | Sep 19, 2018
lucky taylor | Sep 19, 2018

Yes they do! They have to find a job first and make 2 subsistence payments first from their paycheck. Subsistence is 25% of their gross! Before they do a home pass they must have the work specialist Mr. Williams, Do a home inspection first, and a current phone bill must be verified! YOU CAN'T HAVE CALL WAITING OR CALL FORWARDING FUNCTIONS ON YOUR PHONE EITHER! The dismas staff MUST be able to call straight thru!
