Do you pay to leave a stray dog at this shelter?

Government shelters are all kill shelters ‼️‼️‼️ Do not surrender your dog to any shelter they are always at risk to be euthanized there is no guarantee and owener surrenders are out of time quicker. Please look into alternatives or if it’s for medical reasons contact the shelter for help while you still keep your dog 🙏 🙏 never surrender your dog to a shelter or abandon elsewhere ‼️‼️‼️ if you care enough please try to find him an adopter or contact a rescue first ‼️‼️‼️‼️

Yes you have to pay to leave your own dog. Its a really nice place though. I adopted a dog from there r2 months ago during their Free adoption event. They have pets there that have been there for a long time and really do their best to get pets adopted. Ands its nicer than most shelters. Carson shelter has long term pets there also

No fee for stray animals. if its your pet its $15 or $25 dollars if i am not mistaken .

No. You only pay a fee when you leave a pet that belongs to you. UPDATE They only ask for a donation if you turn in your own, but strays are still free to turn in

As far as I know you don't pay a cent to leave a stray dog here but if nobody claims him he might get euthanized eventually for lack of space or of potential adopters or because he might become too sick for anyone to want to adopt him.

The parking area for this shelter is great. The facility looks very nice. I felt comfortable going here. I felt the pet was in good hands. The lost pet that FOUND US was reunited with her owner within 12hrs. The website is helpful in this area to keep track of the status of pets. We love our experience with had in person and online. SOUTH LA ANIMAL SHELTER truly on the ball. Thank you for making our experience less sad and more comforting. We still think about our Hazel 😢😘
