You won't be "legally" charged, so you won't be required to appear in court. However, you will most likely be asked to pay a "service fee" to the shelter. Keep in mind that Animal Services is a severely underfunded organization and they need the money to continue their mission.

Your shelter will charge you impound @ shots fees and will be microchipped..state law...

I think they would just charge you around $100.00 as a service fee to take him out of there or maybe less supposedly because they are lacking funds and various other resources to continue their mission to find homes for everyone and save lives. They will also demand that you license and microchip him to avoid this problem from occuring again in the future because of lack of any legitimate identification. But you will not end up in court for that unless the officers took him from your house because the neighbors complained that he was barking too much at all times and didn't let anyone sleep. After they take him from your house he might get euthanized and you will lose the right to have a dog for a year. Be very careful with that because they have absolutely no regard for the pain and suffering of others nor can they take no for an answer. They are a bunch of mercenaries who only think of themselves and if they deem it necessary to kill him they will do it without a qualm.
