Are stray dogs from the city of Compton brought here? If not do you know which shelter(s) they are taken to?

I usually go to the south la shelter and they come from many places including Compton.

Yes, they accept animals from all over the place and if they have a working microchip they call their family members to come pick them up within 4 days not counting the day that he/she ended up there. But if I were you I would keep him/her for myself or go to Pasadena humane society at 361 South Raymond avenue and leave him/her there so he wouldn't be euthanized if no one picks him/her up because of lack of space or of potential adopters.
