I turned in an injured pigeon an hour ago and signed up for volunteering with a hope to help it. Is there a way i can get it back so I can take it to a vet instead?

Agreed. WCA’s vets and medical specialists are trained and experienced with wild animals while most vets have little or no experience with wild animals.
