A very good place to plane-spot, I saw a lot of c-130s and DC-10 planes, the aviation museum is pretty cool too, if you are a plane spotter I really recommend this place to you!

Retired from McClellan AFB after 25 years. The best job I ever had. The Air Force took great care of its workforce when it was doom to close in 2001. I call the base my second home and the workers my family. I am honored and blessed to have worked there.

Hi Kevin! McClellan Air Force Base was decommissioned in 2001 and has since been turned into McClellan Business Park. Our Airport is the nation's largest privately-owned, public use airport. Let us know if we can answer any other questions!
