Nice facilities for USFS training if you work in northern california. Area is ghetto lots of homeless and issues connected to that. Would not walk around after dark.

Comfortable and bigger chairs. You can twist around in them. All equipment works! Really nice! They provided the best candy during training. Quiet place!!

No windows? It's like a poorly ventilated bunker on a warm day. Couldn't imagine the suffering when it gets hot. Take your hat off before you enter out of respect for the fallen firefighters honored within.

This is a pretty nice facility. We loved the buildings and classrooms, but we had some problems with the internet and projection systems.

Is this one of the fire academies that is most likely neccessary in order to become a firefighter (after the interview process, written and physical test of course)

I wished I could answer that.. I have no idea but sac city/Co 311 Or 211 should be able to answer your question. I vould tell you if you were in Carson City NV. Where the "hot shots" train not helpful here though. Good luck.. love the firemen 💘

Why does the FS have so few 4WD engines? Costly??? Dangerous on mountain roads???
