The Air Force left Commissary and PX behind when they closed the base and it is awesome!! Fast, efficient, very well stocked and super friendly!! Remember baggers at Commissaries in US work for tips only! Suggested tip $.50 - $1.00/bag. They do not get paid for normal bagger duties like cart runs, cleaning and stocking front end...

Good deals but you will need you military ID va card. Not open to public in that reguard

Friendly and helpful workers. Always something interesting at the commissary that you typically won’t find at local stores.

Do you have to be military to shop on base?
You can sign in two aduts
Head to Shopmyexchange.com and towards the bottom of the Page, select Careers.
Yes
Yes to both questions. Class 6 is in the BX, right next to the Commissary.
Must wear mask upon entering and while shopping till you finish
Very good
After calling nonstop for over 30min, someone FINALLY ANSWERED. Seriously, I had to bug you constantly for 30+ minutes for a 1 word response to my question?! Currently no sign in guests are allowed, in case you needed to know.
I did. I applied online. Do they allow anyone there? It's on Watt. Where is Pride Industries? @Aita Cohen, no you don't.
Your 17 year old needs ID but ur 13 year old does not since she does not have a reason to own an ID and not off driving age.
They have ensure I don't know the flavors
The only way that I can get in the commissary is with my brother who is retired military.
You can only shop if you have an active I'd card , retired vet and if your spouse has passed away. They are working on and will approve it soon for the disabled vets... I believe next year!!!
Military Appreciation Sidewalk Sale; May 2nd, 3rd & 4th, 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Just as high as outside. They are trying to discourage smoking military wide. Last I saw Marlboro was at 65.00 a carton.
Only active duty and retired military members
Check with the VA, did they in combat or were they the service at the time, if that's the case you should be able to get one and other benefits.
Because there are not enough customers for either the BX or the commissary any more, that is why they have opened the doors to anyone that has been in the military, homeless etc. As retired, your benefits are near worthless, relative to the illegal aliens, and other scumbags
The military does have to provide for the military even though they are not located on the grounds
If you have a valid DOD ID card you're good. They're also allowing people with a VA ID card to use the commissary and PX as well.
McClellan commissary is open 7 days a week. Everyday except Wednesdays we are open from 0900 to 1900. Wednesdays we open at 0800 to 1900. There are only 3 holidays that we are closed, thanksgiving, Christmas, and new years. All other holidays our hours might change to close earlier, usually around 1700, but you would have to verify which holidays.
