I recently had my cataracts which were put in place in 2013 checked for clouding by Dr. K Bailey. Everything went very well and Dr. Bailey advised me that no action was needed at this time, but told me to come back in 6 months for another evaluation. The appointment went smoothly and the check in procedures were easy.

I was looking for a new ophthalmologist so I decided to call Whatcom Eye Surgeons. A person doesn't answer the phone, you immediately get a recording and an option for a call back or.....wait. After sitting on hold for 10 minutes, I hung up and called back to request a call back. When the person called me back, I asked them about it. They don't have anyone in the office to manage patients. I like a more personal approach from my doctor. Old school? Maybe. This place isn't for me which is a bummer because the doctors received good reviews and I would have made an appointment.
