Went for The Top Gun After Hours Event and it was great!!! The open air park is huge! The docents are very knowledgeable and the indoors is air-conditioned.

Visiting Sacramento for a week during Christmas break with my 7 and 2 year old and looking up things to do on the rainy days. I knew my older son would LOVE this as he’s in a plane/jets phase and Santa just brought him an aircraft carrier toy. The staff was awesome, like walking aviation encyclopedias. They answered all my son’s questions in a manner that was appropriate for his age. Very friendly and welcoming. He especially enjoyed the flight simulator. A nice man assisted my child, and shared that he was an Air Force veteran and my son was mesmerized. Not a very big museum, but we still managed to spend 3 hours there between all the activities they had and just looking at the planes and exhibits. Only wish we were able to see the inside of some of these aircrafts! Note: covid precautions advertised, but not strictly enforced. Even though they have signs up that says masks required, I’d say about 40% of the people there did not have their masks on at all (no mask, or hanging on their chins). And the ones who were wearing them, maybe half had their noses hanging out. Also even though they had hand sanitizer bottles on hands-on stations, none of them were filled or worked. So if covid precautions are important to you, beware.

Very large aerospace museum with an entire lot of planes! I mean if you're in the plane this is the place to go they literally have more planes than the other museums I have been to in the area. The inside is really cool too it's laid out really nice with a ton of history of aircraft and even space with rockets planes and all kinds of memorabilia. They also have a flight simulator which was very popular in the entire time we were there there were people using it. You have a gift shop and a cafe as well like I said it's the biggest and best aerospace museum around.

Absolutely wonderful place! Older man who's a guide there told me many wonderful stories about the airplanes there, from airplanes carrying Buzz Aldrin and Tom Cruise to first plane ever flown by the president of the USA as Air Force One! A few of the airplanes there is still in active use of Air Force They also have open airplane and rocket engines out there to see and learn how they work!

You should call the director Mr. Jones. He is very friendly and will get back to you. He also needs volunteers
Probably, they had other group events
Adults (18-64) are $15, kids (6-17) and seniors are $10. Kids 5 and under are free. We went with a larger group and ended up getting an annual membership which was the cheaper option and gives us the ability to go back again!
Lots of sharp edges. But . The joy of watching your little ones eyes open wide with wonder is priceless.
Hi Fred, Today is California Aerospace Day! We have speakers and panels to discuss topics on STEM and how it relates to the aerospace industry.
Hi Brian. When there are volunteers available we do open the 727 for visitors to go inside. Twice a year we have our Open Cockpit event where multiple aircraft interiors are open for public viewing. Those Open Cockpit Days are Veterans Day and the First Saturday in May. Please call us should you have additional questions 916-643-3192 we are open Thursday - Sunday. Or check our website: www.aerospaceca.org.
Not open on holidays it's always good to call ahead on the days that they are open also notice park right across from a park show parking could be limited sometimes and parking meters
The Aerospace Museum of California has both outside and inside areas. We have a 4+ acre outdoor air park featuring over 35 aircraft and an indoor pavilion exhibit hall.
Admission is $10/person and no reservations required.

Just admission to the museum. The Docents are awesome and very enthusiastic about sharing what they know about the aircraft on display. Some actually flew those exact planes. Impressive in every way.
