Just be real nice with customer service and explain your situation and perhaps they will let you change it to a future date for a small fee

She went through a booking company then you cancel I think through that you went straight through the airline then I would call but I think you have to do it before 24 hours of the flight you want to check out the rules and regulations call them up that's all I can suggest
