The hospital is good but emegencias has staff with little discretion when you come with your daughter with asthma attack and you ask her in station 4 how long will it take and she tells you there are people waiting 6 to 8 hours and you with your daughter

I understand you and it is a terrible situation. When the attack is serious you should get to the hospital by ambulance if possible, they will attend you faster. If the attacks are followed you should insist that your daughter's doctors prescribe the "nebulizer" machine that they use in the hospital to have it at home for emergencies. It is also a good idea to have prednisone of the right strength at home for attacks that do not respond well to the machine. I had asthma since I was a child and I learned how to take care of myself. I only go to the doctor 1-2 times a year for medication recipes. If you do not want to prescribe prednisone for emergencies, I get it from Mexico with relatives. They also sell portable nebulizer machines online to have with you when you travel.

I have my daughter with a similar situation and personally my experience is good even in emergency. I have come to this hospital with my two daughters for more than 10 years and been at times when there are many people in the waiting room and they have always treated me and stabilized my little ones on time ... They always ask if I have any situation medical when entering and ensure that it is stable and then make me wait. I regret that your experience was not good but if your daughter is in a dangerous situation do not ask how long it will take .. Demand a doctor because it is your right and your daughter is in danger. Because if they already entered you into an emergency room, they take vitals and make sure that this is stable at least to make you wait ... If it was not like that. Demand for your daughter do not settle for an unsatisfactory response.

You are right they should give priority to children who are more serious is an excellent hospital I am 11 years old taking my daughter there.

I also have a daughter who has asthma. This hospital seems very good, I have taken my daughter to the emergency room when she has an asthma attack. I have realized that it depends on the severity of asthma at that time, I have taken it very badly and although there are a lot of people they take care of it quickly and equally quickly they give it steroid pills because sometimes the nebulizer does not control it. And other times I don't want to let her asthma get worse and I quickly take her to emergencies and since my daughter is not so bad at that moment we have to wait and if there are many people we wait for hours too. Although it bothers me a lot to wait so long on some occasions, I think it's okay to prioritize each case according to the emergency.
