This review is Emergency room. I came with 13 yr old son with sharp chest pain, and besides someone taking his weight, no one has even checked on him for 4 hours. When I asked how many patients are ahead of him, I was told 15 and it might be another 5 hr wait to be seen. I walked out with the child who is already a patient at Children’s cardiology department and heart issues. The fact that the children hospital won’t even acknowledge a sick child for 10 hours made me cry and pray that he doesn’t get worse until I can find a care for him.

My experience today in the emergency room was terrified my kids were in a car accident and the paramedics took them to Children’s Hospital I said to myself OK they’ll be OK my kids got there at 9:30 about time I got the car towed and got to the hospital my kids @ 1115 were still in the lobby my daughter was suffering from a concussion and no one had attended to her and the nurse in the front doing intake seemed racist to me and when I asked her to get my daughter immediate attention instead she called security I am by all means very disgusted with the service my baby received. I’m going to make sure this doesn’t happen to No one else kids..

ER staff was exceptional. Unfortunately admitted to the hospital and received unbelievable care and treatment. Nurses, Doctors, child life specialist are amazing. I have nothing negative or even mildly un pleasant to say.

My daughter is afflicted with a rare genetic disease. She was initially treated at Harbor UCLA but her condition was not addressed properly, specially as she was getting ready to be discharged. I decided to reach out to Dr. Santoro and he took over the care of my child. My daughter has made significant progress and it’s back to being a regular teenager. The customer service and level of care for my child is excellent. The level of attention received is amazing. Dealing with a really Ill child is a parents worst nightmare. But knowing they are getting the proper care and it’s not about the doctor’s making money, it’s a great relief. I have seen my kid’s progress and I truly believe they are miracle workers at this place. The only downside is that we live in Long Beach and the drive can be a pain because the traffic to downtown can be heavy. But that’s a small price to pay for my kid’s health.

I understand you and it is a terrible situation. When the attack is serious you should get to the hospital by ambulance if possible, they will attend you faster. If the attacks are followed you should insist that your daughter's doctors prescribe the "nebulizer" machine that they use in the hospital to have it at home for emergencies. It is also a good idea to have prednisone of the right strength at home for attacks that do not respond well to the machine. I had asthma since I was a child and I learned how to take care of myself. I only go to the doctor 1-2 times a year for medication recipes. If you do not want to prescribe prednisone for emergencies, I get it from Mexico with relatives. They also sell portable nebulizer machines online to have with you when you travel.
If that first quality hospital, good cleaning, the nurses who are attentive to the children, take good care of them, the doctors, do not let your children go until they are sure that the children are seen, good service, I recommend them if they were offered.

Your family doctor has to refer you, I don't know where you live but ask him how or where you can go, because the children's hospital is super large and has a variety of clinics all with different numbers 😕😕 and even if you will call the hospital they will ask which clinic you need help with 😔😔😔ask your Doctor he has to help you, but save that!
