Not 13 nails in the doors, the spiritualism is greatly exaggerated in the movie. However if you are observant you will find a lot of 13 within the house. From number of steps in stairs, coat hangers, balls on the outside railings, window panes, stained glass motives, and many more. Some are pointed out by the guides - some you have to discover for yourself. If you go for the "Discover more tour" you will see a lot more of the house and you will also learn more rational reasons for many of the strange features of the house.

Yes...in fact the number 13 is involved with many things throughout the house. Comes to glass in a window, or objects on a shelf, tile, paneling the list is wlmost endless.
There are 13 of everything nails ,hooks all in 13s there had to be thirteen.
