They are usually hiding underneath big rocks and boulders and under dense vegetation along the sides of the trail. That's where the one snake I saw come out from. I put one foot on top of this big rock to tie my shoelace and must have moved the rock and out came this red and black striped snake close to my other foot on the ground. They heard me scream from a mile away. 😅
I saw one snake in the times that I've been there
There are snakes but they are unlikely to be on a well-traveled trail or where there are a lot of people and noise. You should be more worried about ticks.
I hike here all the time and I've only ever seen one snake and it was a harmless one. As long as you stay on the trail you shouldn't run into rattlesnakes.
I didn't see any snakes but walked up a very well established trail.
Nope
I didnt run into any. It suppose it may have to do with what trail you take. I took the 4 mile steep trail. It was paved all the eay through.
I saw one last week 4ft rattlesnake
