Not that far, probably 5-15mins walk for most people. They have lifeguard/rangers/information center that can help you for anything? There are two pave trail going down the beach. The left side is really steep. On your right is not too bad but still slightly steep. Make sure you have someone to hold you just in case...There's also a railroad tracks on the site which an Amtrak train pass by every so often so look out for that but is over passing...
There is a lower parking that is right on the beach , now I see it in use all the time , the lifeguards n state RANGERS are unreal with the handicapp even if your in a wheel chair , they well help you with all your needs , even go as far as carrying you n bring you in with them swimming if you want , they have beach/sand wheel chairs for your use (everything for the handicapp use is FREE ) , they have beach/sand vehicles they will pick you up at your campsite n drive ya to the beach and help you in any n every way , MATTER off fact all life guards in California have the equipment to do this so just let anyone of them know at front gate etc. THEY CAN N WELL SPOIL YOU JUST LET THEM !!!!!!! N BE HAPPY Happy days
The campground is literally overlooking the water. Call ahead and inquire about a special wheelchair for beach access. Enjoy the beach and God bless.
Went camping and didn't go to the beach. I did see the paved pathway to the beach and it was somewhat steep.
The campground is located right next to the beach. However, there are steep paved trails to get from the bluffs where the campground is to the sand and water.
I would say it's about 0.25 miles from Campingroung to the beach.
It's very close and there is a ramp down to the beach but it's pretty steep in places.
