When I was there over a year ago, the women slept in one area, very very tight, no storage so most used backpack as a pillow. I strapped my purse across my body as well to keep my things safe. There are rules, none unreasonable given the situation nor unfair iny opinion. I stayed over a month & though the public bathroms were closed for remodelling, I didn't experience any lice, bedbugs, viruses, etc. The staff seemed kind, even during daily unpleasant situations, the majority of the clients were okay given the varied issues. IOne rule that I thought important as per your belongings being safe- at the mid day closure for cleaning every must vacate and take their things with them. Anything left behind will be thrown out promptly. So find the fine line of weight you want to schlep around. ☆ As a complete stranger I did not know of any relief agencies. They have showers you have to be there by 8 at night they have breakfast in the morning they have dinner two nights a week they have lunch every day you have 8 laundry spots a day open
It's a good place to sleep I guess but really don't like the place my self
