Are tent sites by reservation only? Or do they have walk ups available?

I have been able to walk up and get a tent spot in this campground. However, there is no guarantee any spots will be available. AFAIK, no tent spots are reserved exclusively for walk ups.

Only some spots are able to be reserved. They have a bunch that are first come first served. If you show up at check out time, you can snag one as soon as someone leaves. The ranger at the booth will tell you which ones. The have the same for sites with hook ups. We completely lucked out!

Walk ups are available if they have not been reserved 😁 I check all the time and get a spot quite often..

When we were there, they were full. I wouldn't expect vacancies until after Labor Day. We booked our site at least six months in advance for our tent.
