Are there plenty of campsites? We will be getting in late and want an early start up the mountain so we dont want to arrive at a FULL campground and have drive back toward Cougar.

We got there a bit late like 9pm and there were plenty of campsites.

The earlier the better. There is a good chance there won't be any. But there is plenty of parking. The first time I did this climb I got there at 8pm. I pitched my tent next to my truck on the parking lot.. it worked.. its better than driving from cougar to hike the next morning.
