Volunteers must be at least 16 years old and commit for 6 months minimum which can be done weekly, biweekly or monthly. Volunteer Orientation is a requirement.
Check with local animal rescues to see if you can volunteer to help out possibly assisting at adoption events. You might ask your parent to participate with you strengthening your bond & relationship, Volunteerism can develop leadership skills & can help you earn your service pin for scouts or 4h if that is of importance. There is a Volunteer Orientation on Oct 6, 2017 from 0900-11:00. But I do not know if there is an age limit.
