Hi Trudi. Yes! The Humane Society for Tacoma & Pierce County’s Pet Food Pantry supplies pet food to those who are in temporary need of dog or cat food. The Pet Food Pantry operates every Saturday and Wednesday from 12 p.m. – 4 p.m. In order to receive pet food, you must provide identification and proof that your pets are spayed or neutered. If your pets are not altered, you will be given food the first visit, as well as vouchers to have your pets spayed or neutered for a minimal fee. Proof of spay/neuter must then be provided for subsequent Pet Food Pantry visits to receive food. You can find more information on our website at: www.thehumanesociety.org/services/emergency-pet-food-bank/
Alls I know is that they sell dog food. As for giving it out, I am not sure. You can check with local food banks. I volunteered for a food bank in Auburn and they always had animal food to give out. Good luck to you.
