As of June 2021, the definitive answer is: No fishing, No trapping, No hunting! Washington Dept. of Fish & Wildlife, Seattle Public Utilities (which owns/manages the property) and City of Seattle attorneys are all in agreement on this issue. These rules are posted. In addition to managing stormwater, Meadowbrook Pond is a neighborhood wildlife sanctuary, providing home/nesting/refuge/territory to beavers, muskrats, otters, herons, osprey, eagles, owls, all manner of waterfowl & songbirds, amphibians, reptiles, fish (of course), insects, etc. Sadly, a crayfish trap already resulted in the recent death of an otter, and abandoned fishing gear has caused other problems. Please do not disturb any of the wildlife -- thank you.
