Perfect park for the dog and kids
Jennifer Spofford
This park is a lovely fun at the South end of West Seattle. There is a play area, dog area and a track. To top it off there was a nice view of the valley.

The family and I love this park we take our dog frequently . Although the playground has been caged off since covid. Not really sure if it's because they're going to remodel or the city is just being lazy. They do have 2 nice size off leash dog parks and a small 1 for the little takes. Plenty of room for events and families. Even though the playground is sectioned off the swings, roped jungle gym and 2 ziplines are still available for the kiddos.

Big park with an open view as well as some deep woods. There is a playground for kids and an area for dogs, but also plenty of paths and trails for hikers and joggers. The northwest part has no shade but it is beautiful when the sun comes out;the rest of the big park is in the woods, shaded and calm.

Yes, they are wind ornaments
Not all of Westcrest is a dog park. There are many trails where dogs must be leashed outside the park - generally good safe trails to walk. The view of the city is kind of obstructed but nice.
I drove by there yesterday at around 4:15pm and the gate was unfortunately locked. I think they are going to keep it locked due to the bad air quality in our area.
Call animal control. The poodle's owner should file a police report. They could sue for the vet bills even if it was inside the off leash area. If it was outside the off leash area, then they are in even more trouble because dogs are supposed to be under control at all times.
