I only say I dislike this because I think it's really not fair that they would take such a small beach and give half of it to the dogs. The dog park is a really close to being the same size as the people park and I think that's ridiculous. They should make a place of their own not take up what little beach we have there. That's why I don't like it. Beautiful views but it's ridiculous. Unless you like to go to the beach and listen everybody dogs bark at each other

This place has it all.. the park, picnic areas, trails and guess what.. even a gorgeous beach! You can park at the bottom of the hill and walk up or even drive up to the top. Dog friendly, but you can't take them to the beach since there's a chance you'll spot some marine life :) We've done guided sea walks here during low tide and have touched a star fish and crabs. You can also book the shelter for a gathering.

First park I ever visited in Seattle and one of my absolute favorites. Suburbs and businesses immediately transform into lush green paths and hilly trails. The all lead to a beautiful open field with lot of picnic seating and a big park and playground for all kinds of activities. There's beach access right down from the park offering incredible views of the Olympics and of the gorgeous Puget Sound coastline. Even the train that runs down the coast is more feature than annoyance, you can watch it curving along the coast from afar and see it slip behind the hills down the other side of the beach. One of my favorite places in the city. Great outdoor getaway with easy access and activities for anyone and everyone.

It's a nice park, lots of trails, okay playground, could use some bathroom maintenance, and excellent view and access to the Sound. Overall, a pretty nice park. However, the main attraction was the salmon run that was experiencing a phenomenal amount of salmon moving up stream and there wasn't much information regarding it. We did see a group of volunteers setting up a tent as we were leaving, perhaps that was the info. But during the height of the run, more permanent signage would be appreciated.

The chosen one has returned!
To the parking area, lookout, park benches and others if you can ,,; but to the beach area no.
It's 0.2 miles to the parking lot where you can access other trails.
That's a REALLY good question. Walking in from the road is quite a trek and seems altogether unnecessary... How does COVID have anything to do with OUTDOOR parks allowing you to park inside the gate? That's the real question...
Yes. The parking lots are still closed. However the entrance behind QFC has a small lot that isn't closed.
Yes and depending of where you park is like 15 minutes walk. There is plenty of people coming and going all day long so road is never alone
Very dog friendly. As in all Seattle parks, you should keep your dog on a leash, and they are not permitted on the beach or in the woods/creek off the trails. That said, I have seen people with dogs breaking all of those rules, so you should expect a loose dog may run up to you anywhere. I don't believe there is any off-leash area. For that I would recommend Golden Gardens.
About 200ft feet give or take but half of that is steps down to the beach.
Yes
Walking trails. No nude beaches
Not legally.... Not in Seattle parks, period.
There's an off leash park near Golden Gardens which is south of Carkeek.
