You can go in and out I think. Especially if you have the family pass which is totally worth the money

The above answers about in and out access are correct from my experience too. On our visit, we purchased individual day pass tickets early in the day. The attendant told us that if we wanted to leave and come back for any reason (such as to go get lunch, and to come back and see the public feeding of the otters), all we would need to do is return to the desk near the entrance and get a hand stamp for readmission.
