I have to disagree with the review that the Space Needle in Seattle, WA is wheelchair accessible. I was just there 4 days ago. It may have had a wheelchair lift at one time, but it is not fuctional now. There is constuction going on. There are no ramps to access the observation deck, and there is no functional wheelchair lift. I had to scoot down the stairs and had to crawl back up. I would suggest that wheelchair users wait to visit the Space Needle til construction is complete. Without accessibility, it's a $29 elevator ride! Very expensive. They will take your money, but won't warn you that the obssrvation deck is inaccessible. Buyer beware.
It is wheelchair accessible
Since there is an elevator, it is also available for wheelchair users.
Yes, you can borrow wheelchairs from the space needle for your visit. You just check out the chair from security in the base level. Someone in the party will need to be able to push the guest using the chair, as the company doesnt provide ushers to assist in the use of the chairs.
Yes everything is wheel chair available. Yes you can buy tickets ahead of time.
