I believe they are only allowing day use in the state park at this time.

After hurricane Harvey they dont allow night camping.

due to Hurricane Harvey... Mustang Island State Park is day use only... till sunset... until the new year... fingers crossed... and usually two weeks then change sites

State Park day use only other parts of the beach or 3 days with permit

not sure because of Hurricane Harvey, some parts are closed off.
