There are snakes.
Yes! There are several areas to swim from the river to spring pools and smaller stream pools. All swimming is at your own risk. If you are concerned about the river current then swim in the spring pools or small pools along the stream.
Yes, most people swim in the springs.
We kayaked downstream from the park and there was a small inlet with little waterfalls and it looked like a swimming hole. Signs were posted no lifeguards and swim at your own risk!
Yeah it's nice! Very clean but very cold water all year round.
Swimming where ? River or the springs ?
I wouldn't
My kids had a great time swimming
As a avid Texas hiker I’d be wary about dipping your head into any still water, amebas and bacteria are wild in Texas water. Water moccasin also tend to chill around the brush near water so keep an eye out! They are way more aggressive then other types of snakes
Yes, it is at your own risk, but i didn't have any issue. I swam at the boat ramp.
