I would not let them off of the leash if I were you especially at night. Plenty of coyotes there, I've heard them at night . Even though many may travel solo by nature I believe there may be several in packs there. The howls I've heard were several at one time coming from the same area. They are very smart and have a way of luring domestic dogs away from their home by acting playful. Once away they will attack. Don't want to scare you, just want you to be aware so you will not lose any pets to them
