I camped here for two nights with a large group and we loved the riverside primitive camping spots and how spacious the sites are between one another. Restrooms and showers were all working and clean. And the hosts are great people! Only 15 minutes from Colorado Bend State Park. There's a cute General Store that has a restaurant and live music right outside of the entrance to this Park.

Great place to camp. Absolutely love it

I only dropped off someone that was staying the weekend. The campground was easy to get to, well organized, clean, well maintained and the price was very reasonable. Bathroom facility was very close to where the RV's parked. I did not visit the primitive area. Signs directed you to the general camping area you needed to go however a printable online map would be handy. Perhaps a map available at the entrance would be just as good. Every RV spot was booked and filled that I could see. Reservations are highly recommended I am sure. The staff was wonderful, atmosphere amongst campers was great. Just follow the rules and you can relax and enjoy nature at it's best. The river was a very small distance away. Wildlife is abundant as well as some ranch animals. There is a rustic country store just before driving down the long and winding road into the camping area. There was music playing and a great smell of barbecue in the air. I am planning to visit there again and stay an entire weekend as soon as I can. Check out their website for more information.

We visited the park with a church group. It was easy to make reservations, the owners were attentive to our group and kept up with maintaining a nearly full park in early October. The river was flowing sufficiently for some fishing and playing in the water with the kids. It is a beautiful setting and we will be back.

There are picnic tables. Not sure about grills but recall a fire pit.
There are deep and shallow parts. Water isn't bad but in the deep parts watch out for Trot Lines.
You could meet them at the entrance if you told the owners ahead of time there is a gate with a code which will be given upon arrival
Of course! But they have to stay on a leash or some people put them in a pin
Not to my knowledge. I don't think there are trails for it.
I believe as long as you are not encroaching on the neighboring site then it's OK. I would double check though.
We just camped there two weeks ago. There is a sign at the entrance that says they are not allowed. The only thing that I saw was some children on small electric ones.
City water and electric. 50 amp. Dump station on premise.
Yes
I believe they do, I know the electric box has two different plugins for RVs and campers
Google maps shows 4.2 miles or 9 minutes. After going through Bend or at least the main inersection, you will come to a fork in the road left to Barefoot and right to the state park. It is much better to stay at Barefoot and just visit the state park.
Depends on the time of the year and where you are on the river. I'd be more worried about the current. I never saw anyone out there swimming when we were there.
No cabins. They have a really large hunting lodge but it's made for several people. They do have RV and primitive camping sites.
They only have RV and camping spaces as far as I know.
No wifi. However if no one is using the lodge you could go there for wifi. Cell phone is weak. Verizon.
There are no formal hiking trails. However, there are hundreds of acres in which you can hike. You will be on deer and cattle trails with some mowed areas along the river. Colorado Bend State Park, which is nearby, has several hiking trails that are interesting.
