Do they allow dogs at Heron Lake campsites?

Yeah I brought my puppy dog along with me, just us two. We camped at Ridge Rock Campground for a night and no one else showed up the entire time. So he was as free to roam as I was. If your dog is well trained, listens and responds to you, I say no leash is no problem. My pup only listens as long as he's not chasing a squirrel or approaching another dog, he's also really friendly and has a calm demeanor. Lucky for us we didn't have to worry about bothering anyone else! Hope this helps.
