Rustic, wooded. Quiet. RV sites are long enough to accommodate most units and spaced to allow some privacy. Super clean hot water bathrooms with doored shower stalls. Ice available at office. No wood available in park. No park related items available in office (stickers, postcards, shirts, etc). There is a small convenience store (Chesters) 6 miles outside of the park for worms. Laundry (washer and dryer $1.75/ load) and large pool on site (pool not open every day). We got no TV channels via antenna but Roku with my Verizon hotspot worked fine. Multiple fishing piers from which we caught lots of perch. Boat, canoe and kayak rental either by day or hour . It is obvious there has been a lot of timber clearing going on and site clearing and rebuild is ongoing. We were told about the many projects planned- volleyball court, more picnic spots, new WiFi tower, 2 Frisbee golf courses, full RV hookups, more trails, updating cabins and more. It is great to see the state investing in its parks. Because of the timber work the trails are currently closed (the reason for the 4 stars). All staff very friendly and helpful. We would definitely go to this park again.

Our family has been coming here for over 30 yrs. We love the group camping for our reunion. Was a bit disappointed in the lack of cleanliness with both the cabins and the main lodge. In our cabin we had a table that was duct taped together! The price has gone up ridiculously too. In spite of all of the above mentioned ( and unmentioned) items we still love it.

Peaceful location, great for winter camping to get away to quiet. No cell service with t mobile and no Wi-Fi in camp ground but is available at cabins. Beautiful sunsets.

Anything you might want to know about the park can be found on their webpage: https://www.crt.state.la.us/louisiana-state-parks/parks/north-toledo-bend-state-park/index
Park entrance is $3/person; 3 and under/62 and older get in free. There is no separate fee for the pool. And the hours of operation, from the park's webpage: "Pools are open Memorial Day weekend to August 1 and closed Monday-Wednesday for maintenance, except for holiday Mondays. When pools are open on a holiday Monday, the pools will be closed for maintenance on the Tuesday-Thursday following the holiday Monday. From August 1 through Labor Day, pools will be open on modified schedules. Please check with the individual parks for specific days and hours of operation. All pool schedules are subject to change."
We had a tent space with water, a nice fire ring and picnic table and you could see the water just behind us plus we weren't too far from the bathrooms
There are some walking trails on the State Park and they are NOT large enough for a vehicle. I am not sure about the local area.
Thats usually when the pool opens. If u camping there you can get a pass. If not will cost.
Not sure what the site numbers would be but the office staff is very helpful. Happy Camping

Definitely! They have a boat launch at the campground, but they also have others. I'm sure there are swimming spots in different areas of the lake depending upon where you are.
A fishing license is needed to be legal, I'll say it that way...
Conference room is nice. Not near the water
Yes
The pools are open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekends only now. It will close for the season after Labor Day.
We had our dog with us when we visited 3 weeks ago . nothing was said the lady at the check in was very friendly all that was said was how big she was . we kept her on a leash had no problems at all here
From their webpage (https://www.crt.state.la.us/louisiana-state-parks/parks/north-toledo-bend-state-park/index): $150/night plus tax, Sun-Thurs $175/night plus tax, Fri-Sat
You really should call the park, check their webpage, or follow them on Facebook. They don't monitor Google.
According to the map on www.ReserveLaStateParks.com, looks like 1045, 1047, and 1048 are also close to the water. But you could probably call the park directly, and they'd be able to answer your question.
You've got to go!!! It will be well worth it!! Watch for the lake wind advisories though...
Services dogs are allowed, but you would still be liable for any damages that *might* occur. Pets are not allowed in any structures at Louisiana State Parks properties.
Yea 14 days but think you can move to another spot after that
Only if you have the senior pass then its half off.and if you do no need to tell them over the phone. Have to wait till you arrive to show it to them.
