15 minutes from DeLand proper. Have to board a free ferry to get to the island. Best directions via Google Maps.
Well itsin Deland,FL so if your not familiar with the area best way to search it is to put into google ... Hontoon state park... not hontoo island... Just so you know there are alot of sharp turns and winding roads so use caution when driving... And watch out for animals too big birds as well as farm animals tend to run out into the roads at times
