I did. Like Mr. Samadani said, you can't reserve a specific area for a shoot, but you can take them there. There are several beautiful spots to shoot at too. When I was taking photos, everyone there was extremely respectful and gave me plenty of space. If you do nature shots, there's a place in FL you can submit photos for post cards and get a small payment if they want it. I forgot where. I'm sure you can Google it. The place is beautiful. Be sure to explore off the beaten path for photo opportunities. There are plenty!

You will most likely have to check with the gaurd station, but we saw candid shots being taken no problem. I wouldnt expect you would be able to quarantine an area to yourself in order to compose a shot though.

It is a government installation, but I would not see why not. Call the main office and they will be able to tell you for sure.
