Are there many stair involved with the two-hour, classic tour? Would someone with knee pain be better off taking the shorter tour?

There are a ton of stairs in the regular tour. If you have knee pain, the short tour is better, only a few stairs.

There are several segments of the tour where there are lengthy and steep stairs. The hike up to the entrance is also pretty steep.

If you have knee pain definitely do the shorter tour, though I've never taken it. The classic tour has steps, but as I recall from this summer, they weren't very difficult.

The classic tour has 600 stairs. There are other tours available if you're not up to 600.

There are stairs. I have knee pain and went but I just deal with it. Depending how bad your knee pain is you may just want the short tour. Your flo need top squat top make it through some areas and one place where you slide on the rock on your butt.
