To my knowledge there is no way of entering Sea Pines without paying unless you are staying at one of the locations. You could always attempt venturing the coastline but I would not recommend it.
1st, are you talking about sea pines Plantation? Or are you talking about the lighthouse itself? There is no way to get in to see pines without having to pay some type of fee either being a visitor or an owner, unless an owner called at you in a pass. The lighthouse always charges in all funds go towards up keep And surrounding area. I do believe children under a certain age are free And I am not sure if there is senior/military discounts

We rode our bicycles and were not allowed access. We were told only cars had access.
We paid the entrance fee It is only $6; However, you can walk/bike your way in. Park your car by the restaurant and follow the walking trail.
