Walking distance for sure. 10 minutes or less to Broughton Street from the B. Maybe 15-20 to River Street. Walk straight up Montgomery st. from the hotel to Broughton. Straight walk, then you're the start of the downtown shops.
We took the hop on hop off tour around the city, then walked from riverfront to B hotel then to Garnies, and back. Really is a tiny downtown. I think the size of Soho.
It's a 20 minute walk from B Historic to the Riverfront and if you walk along Barnard or Bull St. you can walk through some of the great squares that Savannah has in the downtown area.
We walked to downtown
It is reasonably close walking distance.
I feel that is walking distance.
Im my opinion, the hotel is in walking distance, but Lyft or Uber might not be a bad option to the Riverfront, especially if you are not very active or don't plan to wear sensible shoes. The ballast stones in the Riverfront can be tricky to maneuver, even when sober. Parking is free after 5 PM and on weekends in downtown Savannah.
It’s about a 4-5 min drive, 10-25 min walk
Hotel parking?
We picked this hotel for its walking distance, and were not disappointed.
