Any time you decide to swim in a river you need to be aware of the speed of the water. Even shallow water can knock you off your feet if it's strong enough. People seem to forget that rivers move and lakes don't.
Different parts of Rock Creek are deep enough to swim, 6 or 7 feet if you catch it at the right time of year. Those same spots are more like 3-5 if the water is low. But be mindful you dont go near the mouth of the creek, the river itself is quite dangerous.
Wade in the creek. Tube or canoe down the river but don't recommend swimming. Reed's rental can help you out
You can always go to Rock Creek and wade, I know people walk to the spillway and tube down it, but the water needs to be a bit higher!
You can but they don't recommend it.
