A few but remember it's Illinois. There is a main bike bath paved and there are some dirt paths that venture off. By archery there are a few also. Which is at the beginning of the bike path. Those are mostly hunter and cross country skiing trails. The scenery for all these trails is woods. The only spot you'll come across cliffs is by main park. It's a swinging green bridge. The Chippewa hike is pretty. Parts are mowed path way parts are beaten path.
The best trails are off the main path. The old Chippewa campground has a great wooded trail system. Beware of the prickly plants found in the woods. Avoid shorts and sandals.

The better paths are just off the main trails. Be very careful. The fall is one of the best times to visit the park. Beautiful colors when the trees are turning.
