No. You can go down to water by big green bridge and go wading.

Not a good idea, good swimmers have drowned. River is high and moving fast. There are some nice wading pools by the Bridge. Be careful.

No

Not a safe place to swim.

Stephen Etheridge | Mar 15, 2019

Not really. The River can be murky. The current is fast. You wouldn't be able to see obstructions under the water. There are canoes that can be rented. Starting at the city of Kankakee. Unless you are a very good swimmer it would be easy to drown in the strong currents. Even then.....

You can half swim and half wade between the bridge and river at west end of park.

Joe Blow | Mar 15, 2019

Not really. You can wade by the bridge but there are a lot of fishermen there so be careful of discarded hooks.

No, it is a river with edies and currents that can take even the and strong down. I had a nephew drowned in the Kankakee River. They used to be swimming in Rock Creek, Upstream of the river. Likely not allowed anymore.

No. In the future, call the place instead of asking random strangers.
