It will depend on the crowds and the way in which you choose to view the zoo. If you wish to see programs, and it's crowded, allow for several hours. If you wish to just walk through the whole thing, with no time pausing, it could be done within 45 minutes. I believe you would miss the point if you just tried to speed walk it, so allow for several hours. With a two-year-old, we succeeded in a two-hour visit and I felt that we had completed all that she wanted to see.
Yes we spent a few hours there with two boys. We ate lunch and then went home, as they were exhausted.
About 3 hours for everything
We usually get there at 9 when they open to avoid the crowds and then leave around 12:30-1:00. This includes the new dino exhibit and Waterfall junction.
Well that depends if you stop to let the kids ride the train, feed giraffes etc. I would say 2 hrs. Our young children enjoy it because they can explore a lot by lunch time, then hit up the splash pads.
