Yes, inside and out. The animals will love you if you do.
Yes for adults and kids over the age of 10 by city ordinance
https://www.riverbanks.org/notification Since Riverbanks Zoo and Garden is an outdoor facility with indoor access, guests are expected to wear masks inside any buildings including restrooms. While walking around outdoors in the park, guests are not required to wear masks unless they are unable to maintain appropriate physical distancing of at least 6 feet.
The zoo does ask that masks be worn, but legally it only applies to any indoor areas, and those are the only areas where it's closely monitored. For the outside areas, everyone is encouraged to just remain six feet away from non-household members.
Yes mask are required. To see the full policy, visit their website.
When we were there a couple of weeks ago masks were only required inside of buildings and waiting in line for tickets/concessions
Masks are totally required now. Signage at the front gate, around the bathrooms, and other such places saying to wear your mask, social distance yourself, and certain areas have been blocked off by barricades to prevent overcrowding. Many complaints of maskless individuals can be filed with public safety and they go throughout the day sanitizing the tables and bathrooms.
